Unschooling are my favourite band in the world right now. Perfectly ordered shredded chaos jams. Random Acts of Total Control blew my mind and now this single has much the same.
Favorite track: Shopping On The Left Bank.

about
New single out now via Bad Vibrations Records.
Unschooling’s brand of energetic post-punk is one that revels in calculated discord. Their chaotic ensemble of complex mathy guitar lines, dissatisfied vocals and twitchy rhythm sections have drawn comparisons to such contemporaries as Omni, Crack Cloud and Women, but all wrapped up in a Contortions-esque No Wave spontaneity.
On the 'Shopping On The Left Bank' single, which arrives following Unschooling's 2021 ‘Random Acts of Total Control’ EP, frontman/guitarist Vincent Fevrier says:
“Shopping On The Left Bank mainly talks about the gentrification of Rouen's left bank - something that’s happening in every other major city - but I tried to make it almost laughable. I find the result both danceable but very chaotic, even dark. It was recorded on a broken tape recorder using cheap tapes, broken guitars and amplifiers. This one was hard to complete."
